For the rollout of a store concept for the bicycle brand Cortina, Kruitbosch sought a partner to realize the new concept at more than 100 locations. The large-scale locations had to be professionally installed, while smaller dealers had to be able to assemble the concept independently. At the same time, it had to remain affordable, because the dealers themselves contributed to the furniture.
An additional challenge was the colorful nature of the design: the chosen colors were not available as standard and required careful planning and volume distribution of the various productions.
We translated the design into a scalable furniture concept that is easy to transport and assemble. During the engineering phase, we immediately took into account self-assembly, costs, color selection, and efficiency.
By manufacturing in Eastern Europe, we were able to keep the colorful design affordable. Together with the customer, we selected alternatives to the original colors that would be available for a longer period of time. The furniture was pre-assembled as much as possible without increasing the transport volume. Thanks to clear assembly instructions, dealers were able to carry out the remaining work independently. Delivery took place in smart batches, with assemblies bundled as much as possible. This enabled us to achieve a wide reach in a short period of time.
