For their new showroom on Rue de Rivoli in Paris, Polette was looking for a partner who could contribute ideas from the design phase onwards. The biggest challenge? Creating a ‘Louvre’ – an inverted pyramid – suspended from the ceiling, including lighting. The client specifically requested technical expertise, a solution-oriented approach, and a strong focus on value engineering in order to realize the visual idea in a practical and safe manner within budget.
Imagebuilders provided technical advice from the outset. During the engineering phase, we worked closely with the architect and client to make the design feasible without compromising on appearance. We performed complex calculations, chose lightweight materials to simplify the suspension, and provided an integrated lighting solution.
In addition, there were complex logistics involved: delivery took place on one of the busiest streets in Paris. Thanks to smart preparation and good coordination with all parties involved (including transport, local regulations, and installation), the execution went smoothly.
